The 2017 State Fair of Texas® runs through Sunday, October 22. On Saturday, Oct. 7, the State Fair Classic football game kicks off at 4 p.m. Since the 1980's, the Grambling Tigers and Prairie View A&M Panthers have traveled to Dallas during the State Fair to go head-to-head at Cotton Bowl Stadium. Also this week, ride DART to: The Band of Heathens in concert, presented by the Courtyard Texas Music Series 2017 at the Courtyard Theatre in Plano; Downtown Dallas, Inc.'s free screening of Forest Gump, part of the Movies in the Park series at Main Street Garden; 2017 CAF Wings Over Dallas WWII Airshow at Dallas Executive Airport; DanceAfrica 2017 presented by the Dallas Black Dance Theatre at Moody Performance Hall in the AT&T Performing Arts Center; 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer's at Dallas City Hall Plaza; Target First Saturday at the Nasher Sculpture Center, with child-friendly programming from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and free admission for all until 5 p.m.; Cottonwood Art Festival at Cottonwood Park in Richardson, a free event featuring works from the nation's top visual artists; The Marketplace Garland, featuring fresh produce, baked goods, jams & jellies, sweet breads, culinary items, unique items from local artisans and craftsmen and more in the Downtown Garland Square; 3rd annual Tacolandia festival, presented by TABASCO® Sauce at Dallas Farmers Market; and City of Carrollton's fall Concert on the Square series continuing with local cover band The Enablers in Downtown Carrollton. In Fort Worth: Ride TRE and The T's bus route 2, 7 or 57 to 'Casanova: The Seduction of Europe' at the Kimbell Art Museum.
