Ride DART to: join the UNT Dallas community for a fun-filled celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new UNT Dallas Station on the Blue Line; Halloween Nights at Dallas Zoo, a family-friendly, spooky place for little ghouls and goblins where the gates will creak open after-hours for Halloween Nights, presented by Texas Instruments; Decks in the Park, a free music festival at Klyde Warren Park. Join in for the Halloween Edition, open to all ages; another hysterical lesson with Back to School Catechism: The Holy Ghost and Other Terrifying Tales at the Eisemann Center, part of the Eisemann Center Presents Theatre Series; Commemorative Air Force's World War II themed air show, CAF Wings Over Dallas at the Dallas Executive Airport; The Local Oak family celebrating their 3 year anniversary with live music and a costume contest in the Bishop Arts District; Steinfest, an Oktoberfest-style event that celebrates outstanding beer, great food and the right kind of polka music to get you and your friends dancing in the street in the Downtown Plano Arts District; Día de los Muertos Festival at the Latino Cultural Center, a family-friendly celebration of our deceased loved ones where there will be music, sugar skulls, face painting, monarch butterfly art station and many more art activities throughout the building in partnership with ArtLoveMagic; 5th annual Trinity River Wind Festival, one of the most unique free festivals in the southwest with a day of high flying outdoor adventure and fun sponsored by the City of Dallas and the Trinity Commons Foundation; a free screening of the classic "Abbott & Costello Meet the Mummy" at the Plaza Theatre in Downtown Garland; a pair of concerts by the Plano Symphony Orchestra at the Eisemann Center including Singin' in the Rain on Saturday night and an afternoon of family fun entertainment with a Spooky Symphony on Sunday afternoon; and Dallas Kosher BBQ Championship, where the national cuisine of Texas meets the dietary laws of the Bible at the second annual championship.
