On Saturday, October 10, the AT&T Red River Showdown game between the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners will be played in the Cotton Bowl. Kickoff is 11 a.m. To help accommodate the large crowds, DART is adding light rail, buses and Trinity Railway Express (TRE) trains with special connections planned while some passengers may board buses to complete their trip. Also this week, ride DART to Shop, Eat, Drink, PINK!, a celebration to raise awareness and funds for the early detection of breast cancer and mammograms for those unable to afford them. The event will kick-off on Thursday, October 8th in Bishop Arts.; The Reunion, an experience that brings together buzzworthy musical talent, entertainment, VIP opportunities, and the ultimate pyrotechnics spectacular on the lawn at the foot of Reunion Tower; Salmagundi!, a "circus dinner theater with a really silly name" at the Carrollton Plaza Arts Center in Downtown Carrollton; Fall Fly Days and Car Show at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison; Rally for Health at the Dallas Farmers Market; Oak Cliff Lively Fest, a family-friendly Reggae/Roots inspired event on Tyler between 7th and 8th streets celebrating the arts, music and diversity; and CMI's presentation of an evening of time spent in the very heart of France - the Impressionism of Debussy and Ravel and the late Romanticism of Chausson at the Dallas City Performance Hall.
In Fort Worth: Ride the TRE and The T's bus route 2, 7 or 57 to the "That Day: Laura Wilson" exhibit at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. Note: TRE operates special service on Sundays during the State Fair of Texas.
In Denton: Ride DART and the DCTA A-train to Denton Community Market in downtown Denton.
