Fourth of July is here, with a bang! North Texans have lots of DARTable options. On Tuesday, July 3: Addison Kaboom Town at Addison Circle Park; Farmers Branch Independence Day Celebration at the Farmers Branch Historical Park; the Plano Community Band's "Patriotic Pops" at Haggard Park in Downtown Plano; and Red White & Boom on the Bridge by the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. On Wednesday, July 4: Rowlett Freedom 5K on Main; Irving Independence Day Parade in the Heritage District; Star-Spangled Spectacular at Firewheel Town Center in Garland; Rowlett Fireworks on Main; Fair Park Fourth in Fair Park; and Irving Independence Day Fireworks Show in the Las Colinas Urban Center. Service Note: DART buses and light rail will operate on a Sunday schedule on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. There will be no TRE service on July 4. In Fort Worth: Ride the TRE and The T's Safari Shuttle bus on Saturday to the Fort Worth Zoo. (Through Sept. 1) In Denton: Ride DART and the DCTA A-train to Denton Community Market on Saturday in Downtown Denton. (July 7) Service Note: DCTA will not operate any bus or rail service on Wednesday, July 4.
