Ride DART to: Rowlett Farmers Market, taking place every other Thursday from 4-8 p.m. through September, offers live music and other fun events at the Village of Rowlett Downtown (June 14); the annual Rodeo Hoedown at the African American Museum, 3536 Grand Avenue, is a fun-filled evening on Friday, June 15, the day before the 30th Annual Texas Black Invitational Rodeo at the Fair Park Coliseum on Saturday, June 16 (June 15-16); Dallas Arts District's annual Summer Block Party with Crow Collection of Asian Art, Dallas Museum of Art, and Nasher Sculpture Center in a celebration of arts and culture in the LGBTQ community in honor of National Pride Month (June 15); The Marketplace Garland, featuring fresh produce, baked goods, jams and jellies, sweet breads, culinary items, unique items from local artisans and craftsmen and more in the Downtown Garland Square (June 16); Juneteenth Arts & Music Festival featuring games, bounce houses, vendors and live entertainment at the Boys & Girls Club in Downtown Plano (June 16); and celebrate Juneteenth with Irving at the Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Center, with an outdoor art exhibit featuring Dallas artist Guinn Powell and featuring free concerts, a community picnic sponsored by In-N-Out Burger, outdoor games and children's activities (June 16). In Fort Worth: Ride the TRE and Trinity Metro's Safari Express bus on Saturdays to the Fort Worth Zoo.
