Friday, May 20 is National Bike to Work Day. On your way to the office, stop by one of several energizer stations set up by DART, where volunteers are eager to provide information from local area bike shop partners, free bike tune-ups, treats, promotional items and tips on safety from 7 to 9 a.m. Find locations at www.DART.org/bikes Also this week, ride DART to: the Farmers Branch summer food truck series, Tastes & Tunes, featuring the All Funk Radio Show; Deep Ellum Wine Walk - Military Edition, where the Deep Ellum community invites you to raise a glass in honor of those who have made our country great; Richardson's signature event, the Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival, an award-winning eclectic event at the Galatyn Park Urban Center; 2016 Elm Street Music & Tattoo Festival, bringing together over 50 tattooers and over 30 bands to Deep Ellum; Chicago Tribute Authority, Texas in performance, part of Irving's concert series at Whistlestop Plaza; Dallas Black Dance Theatre's presentation of "Spring Celebration" at the Wyly Theatre; 'til Midnight at the Nasher featuring Pleasant Grove in concert and a screening of the film "Coraline"; Dallas Roars! at the Dallas Zoo, this weekend highlighting "A Force For Good" in honor of Armed Services Day; The Cavanaugh Flight Museum's presentation of Warbirds Over Addison, featuring a round-up of P-51 Mustangs; The Marketplace Garland, featuring fresh produce, baked goods, jams & jellies, sweet breads, culinary items, unique items from local artisans and craftsmen and more; The Univision Festival de Mayo 2016 at Fair Park, a free family event featuring foods, games and live music; Downtown Plano's fine dining event of the year, Night Out on 15th; 2016 AT&T Byron Nelson at TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas in Irving; and SOLUNA International Music & Arts Festival, a three-week festival showcasing visual and performing arts in the Dallas Arts District and beyond. Green Line Rider Alert: On Sunday, May 22, TxDOT will be inspecting US 75 over DART Rail's Green Line tracks between Pearl/Arts District and Deep Ellum stations. During the inspection, from 6:40 a.m. to 1:50 p.m., the Green Line will operate only between North Carrollton/Frankford and Victory stations and between Deep Ellum and Buckner stations. Two bus shuttle routes will be available. One shuttle will operate between Victory and West End stations. The other shuttle will operate between Pearl/Arts District and Deep Ellum stations. Red, Blue and Orange line service will not be disrupted. However, Green Line customers are encouraged to allow extra travel time during this time frame. In Fort Worth: Ride the TRE to Fort Worth ITC Station then the T's bus route 2, 7 or 57 to the opening of "Hidden Treasures: Celebrating 75 Years" at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Celebrate the opening event on May 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. when exhibits, programs, and anniversary events are just $7.50 per person! Note: No TRE service on Sundays. In Denton: Ride DART and the DCTA A-train on Saturday to the Denton Community Market in downtown Denton.
