Ride DART to: Dallas Startup Week, a free, five-day celebration of the community that builds momentum and opportunity around entrepreneurship; Star Parties in the Farmers Branch Historical Park, a free event where people of all ages are invited to view the sun and stars through high powered telescopes from sunset to 9 p.m. (rescheduled from April 12); "Wiesenthal," the riveting true story of Simon Wiesenthal on stage at the Eisemann Center in Richardson; Dallas International Film Festival, 11 days of independent and studio films, DIFF's panel discussions, conversations with inventive and award-winning filmmakers and more; 2016 Dallas Art Fair at the Fashion Industry Gallery in Downtown Dallas; the debut of the McCall Plaza Stage in Downtown Plano, featuring a weekend of great entertainment; Warehouse: A Dave Matthews Tribute Band, part of Irving's free concert series showcasing live music performances at Whistlestop Plaza adjacent to Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing Station; Garland Symphony Orchestra in concert at the Granville Arts Center, featuring Delmar Pettys on violin; WaterTower Theatre's production of "The Big Meal" in Addison; 2016 March for Babies at Norbuck Park; Wanderlust 108, a field day for your mind, body and soul featuring a 5k run, yoga, and meditation on The Lawn at Reunion; Plano Conservancy for Historic Preservation's Tombstone Mysteries, a fun and free community event to help restore historic Plano Mutual Cemetery; Get Kidz Fit, a free, fun-filled extravaganza presented by the Dallas Area Coalition to Prevent Childhood Obesity (DACPCO) at Fair Park; Old 97's County Fair at Main Street Garden; Pitch Perfect, part of the free outdoor Movie on the Square series in Downtown Carrollton; and Dallas International Film Festival's Family Day at Klyde Warren Park, featuring an outdoor screening of "The Labyrinth" In Fort Worth: Ride the TRE to the MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival, the annual four-day visual arts, entertainment and cultural event in Downtown Fort Worth. TRE operates special service for the event, including a special Sunday schedule on April 17. In Denton: Ride DART and the DCTA A-train on Saturday to Denton Community Market in Downtown Denton, a community gathering space alive with music, local food and produce, locally produced handmade arts and crafts and more.
