Ride DART to the Salvation Army's urban obstacle race, the Most Good 5K and Obstacle Race in the Trinity Groves area; to the Cinco de Mayo Celebration in Downtown Garland; to the Dallas Cinco de Mayo 2014 Big Parade and Festival on Jefferson Blvd.; to Story Time at C Square Café in Downtown Carrollton; to Target First Saturday at the Nasher Sculpture Center; to the Cottonwood Art Festival in Cottonwood Park in Richardson; to the Suburbia Music Festival in Oak Point Park in Plano; or to the Dog Bowl at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Fair Park.
Please note this weekend: On Saturday, May 3, Oak Cliff bus riders should prepare for detours during the Dallas Cinco de Mayo Parade. On Sunday, May 4 from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m., a disruption of Red and Blue line rail service between West End and 8th & Corinth stations is scheduled. Shuttle buses will transport passengers between West End and 8th & Corinth stations, also serving Cedars, Convention Center and Union stations. Normal rail service should resume by 6 p.m. Green and Orange Line service will be uninterrupted, although some delays may occur due to the turning back of other trains. All customers are encouraged to allow extra travel time.
